Job description

Position Summary


The Junior Project Controls Manager supports cost and schedule reporting for a data centerconstruction project under the direction of the senior project controls manager, maintaining costdata, tracking change orders, and assisting with forecast updates. This role provides anopportunity to develop a full range of project controls skills on a large, technically complexconstruction project.


This is a field-based position supporting construction projects in North Louisiana, Virginia, and Corpus Christi, Texas. Project assignments and reporting locations will vary based on operational needs. Travel and/or temporary relocation may be required.


Essential Responsibilities


  • Maintain cost control records, including commitment logs, invoice tracking, and budget codeassignments.
  • Assist with preparation of monthly cost reports and forecast-to-complete updates.
  • Track change order status, including proposal submission, review, and owner approval, andmaintain the change order log.
  • Support earned value calculations and variance analysis under the direction of the senior projectcontrols manager.
  • Assist with data entry and reporting in the project cost control and scheduling software.
  • Compile backup documentation for owner pay applications and change order proposals.
  • Attend project meetings and record cost and schedule action items for follow-up.


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in project controls, cost engineering, or a related construction support role.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, including formulas and pivot tables for cost analysis.
  • Familiarity with construction cost coding and budget structures.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Prior exposure to a data center or other mission-critical construction project.
  • Familiarity with Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software.
  • Coursework or training in cost engineering or construction management.


Work Environment


Primarily office-based within an on-site field office, with occasional site walks to support cost and schedule verification.
