Job description

Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.
As a Full Stack Software Development Engineer at Micron, you will be part of the AI Platform Solutions Group (AIPS) within TPG, where you will design and deliver next-generation, AI-native applications that accelerates the capability for engineering teams we support to innovate. In this role, you will focus on building intelligent, scalable systems that integrate advanced AI capabilities-including large language models, retrieval-augmented systems, and agentic workflow orchestration-directly into engineering-critical applications and workflows. You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate complex business challenges into adaptive, high-performance solutions that leverage autonomous agents, contextual reasoning, and workflow automation to drive decision-making and productivity. While your primary focus will be within AI Platform Solutions and TPG, the platforms and solutions you build will be architected for reuse and scale, enabling enterprise-wide impact across Micron's global operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications, spanning modern front-end frameworks, APIs, and backend services.
  • Translate functional requirements into robust technical designs, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
  • Own the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
  • Produce clean, well-documented, and high-quality code while contributing to continuous improvement of engineering standards and practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues proactively, minimizing system defects, downtime, and performance degradation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver solutions that maximize business value while ensuring operational excellence.

Technical Expectations
  • Demonstrated ability to work across multiple technologies and frameworks, seamlessly integrating them to deliver cohesive solutions.
  • Strong foundation in modern application architecture (e.g., microservices, MCP/REST API-driven design, cloud-native development).
  • Experience with performance optimization, observability, and reliability engineering practices.

AI & Intelligent Systems (Preferred / Emerging Core Competency)
As part of Micron's ongoing digital transformation, this role includes a strong expectation that engineers bring (or actively develop) capabilities in AI-enabled software development, including:
  • Practical experience or solid grounding in integrating AI/ML capabilities into applications, including leveraging large language models (LLMs) and advanced inference services.
  • Familiarity with agentic architectures-designing and orchestrating autonomous or semi-autonomous software agents that can reason, plan, and execute multi-step workflows.
  • Experience building or integrating AI-driven workflows, such as task decomposition, tool chaining, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and context-aware decision systems.
  • Understanding of responsible AI principles, including model evaluation, observability, and safe deployment practices.
  • Ability to identify opportunities where AI and automation can meaningfully enhance business processes, developer productivity, and user experience.

What Success Looks Like
  • You deliver high-quality, resilient software that consistently meets or exceeds business expectations.
  • You operate comfortably across the full stack and adapt quickly to new technologies and paradigms.
  • You proactively contribute to engineering excellence and elevate team capabilities.
  • You help drive the adoption of modern, intelligent systems by embedding AI and agent-driven workflows into Micron's software ecosystem.
