Journeyman Education/Experience: * A high school diploma with a minimum of 6 years of software development experience * OR * A Bachelor of Science degree in STEM with a minimum of 2 years of software development experience
* OR * A Master of Science degree in a STEM field with 0 years of software development
Sr/Principal Education/Experience: * A high school diploma with a minimum of 9 years of software development experience * OR * A Bachelor of Science degree in STEM with a minimum of 5 years of software development experience * OR * A Master of Science in a STEM field with 3 years of software development experience
Required Skills: * Full Stack Software Development
* Demonstrated experience in Java
* Proven experience with Windows OS
* Familiarity with relational database management systems (Oracle/PDBs) and SQL
* Working knowledge of the Agile development processes
* Familiarity with Test automation practices and tools (Integration testing, Unit testing, QFTest)
* Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with small technical teams
* Ability to prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish project results
Preferred Skills: * Experience working in Agile software development environment.
* Experience with Enterprise Database
* DevOps / DevSecOps experience
* Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Deployment (CD) setting up Jenkins Builds
* Software Security Tools such as SonarQube
* Demonstrated use of Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) and configuration management (SVN/Bitbucket)
DESCRIPTION: * Constellation West is looking for a Software Developer to develop, create, and modify general computer applications software and specialized utility programs. * The ideal candidate has ability to analyze user needs and develop software solutions, design software, and customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. * Must also have the ability to analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team. * Must demonstrate a broad skill set balanced between interpersonal and technical capabilities achieving sustainable quality products. * Show a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. * This role will participate in the entire software development lifecycle with a concentration in software engineering. * Works closely with other software developers accomplishing the following:
* Complete work independently and as a part of an Agile team
* Support team in completing necessary software on schedule
* Solve complex problems through innovative and creative solutions
* Collaborate with software designers and/or software engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of software systems
