Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Summary:

The Senior Electrical Engineer is a fully competent engineering professional responsible for performing complex design work, making independent technical decisions, and applying advanced engineering principles across a variety of building system projects.

This role provides technical leadership, mentors junior staff, conducts calculations and system analyses, evaluates equipment and system performance, and represents the firm in meetings requiring coordination across all design disciplines. The Senior Engineer ensures that project designs meet quality standards, client expectations, and engineering best practices.

  • Plan and conduct complex engineering assignments requiring independent judgment
  • Supervise, coordinate, and review work of Engineers, Designers, and CAD Operators
  • Develop technical reports, studies, and system analyses
  • Evaluate substitute equipment and review system adjustments after installation
  • Represent the firm in meetings and coordinate across all trades
  • Perform engineering designs, calculations, and evaluations with advanced techniques
  • Mentor junior engineers and support project technical leadership

Responsibilities:

  • Professional Engineering License (PE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) preferred
  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent
  • Eight years of relevant project engineering experience

Qualifications and Experience:

Location: Rochester, New York or Buffalo, New York

 Travel: Up to 25%

 Compensation & Benefits:

The expected base salary range for this role is $95,000 - $135,00 USD per year, hourly, non-exempt. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
