Description
4G Clinical delivers randomization and trial supply technology built for complex clinical trials. As a Software Engineer you will be part of the dedicated team who work on Prancer RTSM® 4G Clinical's proprietary software which supports clinical trial studies from early phase through large, multi-country programs, with configuration flexibility aligned to protocol complexity and evolving trial demands.
Within this role you will;
  • Write reusable, testable, and efficient code; unit-test and document implemented features.
  • Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications.
  • Implementation of server-side models and algorithms.
  • Implementation of web service APIs (REST).
  • Implementation of client-side logic, including UX design, HTML layouts and templates, Angular logic, and styling.
  • Implementation of security and data protection.
  • Integration of data storage solutions.

Requirements
0The position requires between 1-10 years' experience as a Software Engineer in asn agile environment working with a web-based application. The skills listed below are those of a full-stack software engineer, with the understanding that each software engineer has their own "spikes" or specialty areas.
Back-end
  • ORM (Object Relational Mapping).
  • Modern application frameworks such as Django or Ruby on Rails.
  • Object Oriented Programming.
  • Micro-services / loosely coupled applications using multiple data sources and interfaces.
  • Functional programming / higher order functions is a plus.

Front-end
  • Modern frontend technologies such as Angular, JavaScript, Typescript/Coffee Script, HTML5, SCSS/CSS.
  • Responsive design applications (e.g. Material Design).
  • Higher-order functions (e.g. Lodash).

General
  • Understanding of accessibility and security compliance.
  • Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments.
  • Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
  • Strong unit test and debugging skills.
  • Proficient understanding of modern development environment tools such as Git. JIRA or other issue tracking systems, Jenkins or other CI software.
  • Cloud-based applications and virtualization is a plus (Docker, EC2, S3).

Education and/or Certification Requirements
The candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent field is required, with preference towards master's degree or higher. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
Compensation: $110k - $127kThe salary range listed above represents a good-faith estimate of the base pay for this role and is provided to comply with applicable laws and regulations.
