Job Description

The Technical Analyst III is responsible for serving as a technical subject matter expert and trusted advisor for Microsoft 365 services and solutions. This role bridges the gap between business and technology by helping employees leverage modern workplace tools to improve collaboration, reduce manual effort, automate processes, and create measurable business value.


This position requires a business-minded technologist who can move seamlessly between technical analysis, solution design, platform support, governance, user adoption, and organizational enablement. The ideal candidate possesses strong Microsoft 365 expertise while also demonstrating the ability to lead discovery conversations, communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and guide business units toward scalable, supportable solutions.

How You'll Spend Your Time

• Work within a team that administers, supports, and continuously improves Microsoft 365 services, including Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Agent Builder, Copilot Studio, Agent 365, Power Platform, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Teams, and related services. 
• Serve as a liaison between business units and IT to identify opportunities for improved productivity, collaboration, automation, and digital transformation.
• Analyze, design, test, implement, and support solutions across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
• Troubleshoot complex collaboration, messaging, authentication, licensing, data access, integration, and platform issues. 
• Identify, evaluate, prototype, and implement solutions that reduce manual work and improve operational efficiency while balancing governance, supportability, and user experience. 
• Support governance, security, compliance, lifecycle management, and best practices across Microsoft 365 platforms. 
• Evaluate, implement, and support emerging artificial intelligence and generative AI capabilities, including Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, AI agents, and automation-assisted workflows. 
• Perform business process analysis, workflow modeling, and solution design activities to support business transformation initiatives.
• Develop technical specifications, documentation, standards, procedures, knowledge articles, and support materials. 
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements, recommend solutions, and drive adoption of Microsoft 365 technologies. 
• Deliver end-user training, coaching, and organizational change management activities to maximize user adoption and business value. 
• Mentor junior analysts and provide technical leadership across projects and support initiatives.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, governance requirements, security policies, and technology roadmaps.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is typically acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field and/or 3-5 years of directly related experience supporting Microsoft 365, collaboration platforms, business analysis, technical analysis, automation solutions, or equivalent combinations of education and experience.

• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 technologies including Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Exchange Online, Power Platform, Copilot, and related services. 
• Understanding of Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Copilot Agent Builder, automation, and emerging AI technologies. 
• Knowledge of collaboration platforms, workflow automation, productivity tools, and digital workplace technologies.
• Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
• Strong business process analysis, workflow mapping, and solution design skills.
• Understanding of software integrations, APIs, data flows, and enterprise application ecosystems.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, security, compliance, identity management, and governance concepts.
• Experience evaluating and implementing solutions with a focus on user experience, adoption, scalability, and supportability.
• Ability to conduct discovery sessions, facilitate workshops, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical solutions to moderately complex business and technical challenges.

• Microsoft certifications related to Microsoft 365, Power Platform, SharePoint, Teams, Azure, Security, or Copilot.

• Knowledge of financial services, banking operations, or regulated industries.
• Experience leading adoption, governance, and organizational change management initiatives related to collaboration and productivity platforms.
