Overview

TEKsystems is partnering with a leading financial institution to identify an experienced Solutions Engineer who will play a critical role in designing and delivering technology solutions that solve complex business challenges. This individual will serve as a bridge between business stakeholders, vendors, architects, and engineering teams, helping modernize and integrate enterprise banking systems through cloud-first and API-driven solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise, systems thinking, and business acumen to drive strategic technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison between business partners, vendors, and internal technology teams.
  • Lead discovery sessions and gather requirements to translate business objectives into technical solutions and implementation roadmaps.
  • Analyze complex technical and operational challenges, identify root causes, and recommend scalable solutions.
  • Design and document enterprise integration solutions leveraging APIs, middleware, cloud-native services, and modern architectural patterns.
  • Evaluate the impact of proposed solutions across systems, data flows, and business processes.
  • Assess vendor platforms, technical capabilities, and architecture to ensure alignment with organizational standards and long-term technology strategy.
  • Identify and recommend modernization opportunities for legacy and on-premises applications.
  • Partner with Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, and Development teams to ensure adherence to compliance, security, and architectural requirements.
  • Support vendor selection and RFP processes by evaluating technical fit and solution viability.
  • Present technical recommendations, tradeoffs, and solution strategies to both technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior team members and promote best practices in solution design, cloud technologies, and software engineering.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, including cloud platforms, integration technologies, and AI-driven solutions.
Required QualificationsExperience
  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or related technical roles.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing modern cloud-based solutions using platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
  • Experience integrating enterprise applications through APIs, middleware, and modern integration patterns.
  • Experience migrating or modernizing legacy/on-premises systems.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), design patterns, testing methodologies, and code quality practices.
  • Experience mentoring technical team members and providing technical leadership.
Technical Skills
