Job description

US Engine Valve is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to support and maintain our Quality Management System. This role is ideal for a candidate who enjoys analyzing production and laboratory data, investigating deviations, and driving corrective and preventive actions to eliminate quality issues and prevent recurrence.
The successful candidate will be a collaborative, team-oriented professional who works effectively across multiple departments. This individual will play a key role in identifying trends, improving processes, and ensuring product quality, consistency, and compliance with internal and external standards. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Able to read and understand blueprints and technical literature.
  • Support investigations into customer defects and nonconformances / quality events.
  • Track, trend, and analyze data to identify reoccurring issues, generate reports and lead investigations and quality events.
  • Develop and maintain pFMEAs and Control Plans.
  • Conduct process capability and statistical analysis.
  • Develop and maintain Statistical Process Control programs.
  • Perform Gauge R&R and Measure System Analysis.
  • Evaluate and improve inspection methods and quality procedures.
  • Support internal and external customer audits.
  • Help support organizational compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, USEV and customer standards.
  • Help monitor and maintain USEV’s quality system.
  • Support production in a manner that maximizes efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.

Qualifications:
  • 4-year degree in Engineering with 2 years of experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience with quality systems, data analysis, and continuous improvement tools preferred.

Preferred Skills:
  • Strong computer skills are required: Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, etc.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems and Power BI strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Minitab strongly preferred.
  • Superior problem-solving ability.
  • Strong professional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand and interpret blueprints.
