How you will make an impact:
The Business Intelligence Specialist II is responsible for designing, developing, and managing BI solutions. This role requires proficiency in multiple data tools and the ability to work semi-independently on moderate to complex BI projects. The Business Intelligence Specialist II demonstrates subject matter expertise in data modeling, report optimization, and stakeholder management, while also providing mentorship to junior team members.
  • Design and develop enterprise-level BI reports and dashboards supporting multiple business units using Microsoft technologies.
  • Develop complex ETL processes and manage data warehouse objects.
  • Create and optimize data models for improved report performance.
  • Develop SQL queries to support reporting objectives.
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions and translate business needs into technical specifications.
  • Perform data quality audits and implement data validation frameworks.
  • Optimize BI tool performance and manage system upgrades and migrations.
  • Mentor level I Specialists and provide code review and quality assurance.
  • Develop and maintain BI documentation and best practices standards.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement solutions.
  • Recommend and implement enhancements to BI infrastructure and tools.

The skills and experience you'll need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science or related field required.
  • 4+ years of experience developing BI reports, dashboards, and data solutions.
  • Advanced SQL skills and proficiency with multiple BI tools.
  • Experience with ETL tools.
  • Proficiency with Azure Data Warehouse or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of database architecture, data modeling, and SQL optimization.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in written and verbal formats in English.
  • Working knowledge of Azure DevOps or a similar platform.
  • Strong grasp on data visualization concepts and techniques.
  • Project management experience and ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
  • Experience managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience in manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated mentoring capacity.
  • Microsoft certifications a Plus:
    • PL - 300 (Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst)
    • DP-600 Fabric Analytics Engineer (or equivalent Fabric credential)
  • Familiarity with Python.
