Job Description Ideal Candidate Call & Nicholas, Inc is a mining geotechnical engineering consultancy seeking an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to provide uncompromising quality of service within the Call & Nicholas, culture. The primary duties of the Senior Geotechnical Engineer include technical analysis and project management expertise for open-pit and underground mining geotechnical design projects. Activities or more-specific duties include project management, technical analysis, coordination, problem solving, communication, team-leading and reporting.

The candidate will be responsible for management of team-based geotechnical projects including geotechnical investigations (drilling, mapping, laboratory testing), geotechnical engineering analyses, communications and reporting. The candidate's abilities should be at the senior level with task/project management functions and technical expertise. The ideal candidate will be a mentor for junior technical associates.

RESPONSIBILITIES Protect the safety and health of employees by promoting safe working procedures and health programs in accordance with Call & Nicholas, Inc policy and appropriate regulations Provide engineering expertise for mine operations and conduct studies related to mine expansions and ongoing operations Execute and manage geotechnical studies compliant with internal standards and external regulations (i.e. NI 43-100, etc.) Travel regularly to project sites Communicate effectively with mine operations, geology, management and other technical groups Identify opportunities to provide value engineering to clients Execute projects timely and manage all project-related resources. Manage projects budgets including cost estimation, monitoring and analyzing costs Continually review and provide recommendations on continuous improvement opportunities Mentor and develop engineers within the team Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or related Engineering discipline from an accredited curriculum and8+years of experience in the following: Open-pit geotechnical engineering, Underground geotechnical engineering, OR Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or related Engineering discipline from an accredited curriculum and three (3) years of experience in the following: Open-pit and/or underground mining Professional Engineer registration or able to obtain within 1 year of hire Bilingual in English/Spanish (Preferred-not necessary) Knowledge of advanced principles and practice of civil, geotechnical, mining, geology and geological engineering Valid passport and ability to travel domestically and internationally Experience with technical softwares: MineSight Rocscience Suite Microsoft Office Suite AutoCAD Itasca Suites SoilVision Python Perl Additional Information Benefits Comprehensive full-family medical insurance coverage Optional low-cost dental and vision coverage Long-term and Short-termdisability, Life insurance, AD&D insurance 401k with 3-5%+ company matching contribution PTO and 9observed holidays Annual profit-share and merit bonuses Professional development assistance Schedule: Full time, normal business hours
