Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Ab Initio ETL Developer with strong experience in data engineering, ETL development, and metadata management. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Ab Initio tools, Python-based data pipelines, and working with large-scale datasets in a financial services environment.

  • Strong experience with Ab Initio tools, including Conduct>IT, Continuous Flows, and Metadata Hub
  • Hands-on expertise in ETL development and optimization
  • Proficiency in Python for data engineering tasks
  • Strong experience in Oracle, SQL Server, or other relational databases
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL, PLSQL, and shell scripting
  • Experience with data modeling and performance tuning
  • Familiarity with data governance, data lineage, and metadata management
  • Proven ability to lead code reviews and enforce development standards
  • Experience in financial services domain (mandatory)
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Basic knowledge or awareness of AI tools and machine learning models

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Ab Initio (GDE, Co-Operating System, EME, Conduct>IT, Continuous Flows, and Metadata Hub)
  • Implement Conduct>IT, vectors, and metaprogramming techniques
  • Work on PDL, resource pool management, and dynamic lookups
  • Build scalable data pipelines using Python for processing and automation
  • Perform data modeling, database design, and performance tuning
  • Work with large datasets in relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.)
  • Develop and optimize shell scripts and advanced SQL/PLSQL queries
  • Optimize Ab Initio graphs for performance and efficiency
  • Ensure adherence to data governance, lineage, and metadata management practices
  • Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure high-quality deliverables
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and translate data requirements
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term solutions
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory standards
