Summary: Plays a key role in shaping and optimizing Resurgent's digital engagement and collections strategies. This role independently leads complex analyses to identify performance drivers, uncover revenue opportunities, and evaluate the financial impact of strategic initiatives. The analyst partners closely with strategy, operations, and digital teams to translate insights into actionable recommendations that improve customer engagement, payment conversions, and portfolio recovery outcomes.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Strategy Development and Optimization

  • Lead analytical efforts that support the development and optimization of digital engagement strategies.

  • Identify opportunities to improve customer engagement, payment conversion rates, and channel effectiveness through data-driven insights.

  • Evaluate strategic initiatives and quantify their potential financial impact on portfolio recovery performance.

Advanced Analytics and Business Insights

  • Analyze large and complex data sets to identify trends, performance drivers, and emerging opportunities across digital engagement channels.

  • Conduct deep-dive analyses on customer behavior, payment activity, and channel engagement to uncover insights that improve strategy performance.

  • Develop analytical frameworks and methodologies that improve the team's ability to measure and understand strategy performance.

  • Apply a basic understanding of data science models to identify strategic opportunities where models can be utilized to create significant value.

  • Provide thought leadership on analytical approaches and help identify new opportunities for data-driven improvements.

Testing and Experimentation

  • Design and lead champion/challenger experiments to evaluate new communication strategies, segmentation, and engagement approaches.

  • Define test hypotheses, success metrics, and measurement approaches to ensure reliable and meaningful results.

  • Analyze test outcomes and provide insights into the expected financial impact of proposed strategy changes.

  • Document test results and share learnings to support continuous strategy optimization.

Performance Monitoring and Strategic Reporting

  • Develop advanced dashboards and reporting tools that provide deeper visibility into strategy performance and financial outcomes.

  • Monitor channel performance trends and proactively identify risks or emerging opportunities.

  • Regularly contribute to 'strategy performance reviews and outcome' discussions by sharing analytical insights, performance trends, and key learnings across digital initiatives.

  • Analyze servicer scorecards and key performance indicators to assess how Resurgent's strategies perform relative to competitors and identify opportunities for optimization.

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of existing business processes, servicer performance metrics, scorecard methodologies, and reporting practices.

  • Present analytical findings and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional partners.

Team Collaboration and Mentorship

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts on analytical techniques and best practices.

  • Support the development of analytical standards, documentation, and knowledge sharing across the team.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in a defined strategy area (such as channel strategy, testing frameworks, offers or engagement optimization).

  • Stay informed on industry trends, performance benchmarks, and emerging strategies that can improve digital engagement effectiveness.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned by management.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 4 - 6 years of relevant experience required

  • Advanced skills in Excel (charts, formulas, macros) required

  • Ability to quickly discern accuracy, spot trends/problems, and size up opportunity

  • Capable of navigating data structures and organizing large data sets

  • Immediate proficiency in programming languages and data visualization tools (ex: SQL, Databricks, Python, POWER BI/DAX, Tableau, Excel, statistical tools)

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills are essential

Educational requirements:

  • Four-year college degree in an analytical or quantitative field (i.e. Economics, Finance, Engineering, Business (MBA), Mathematical Sciences, etc.) required

  • Master's degree within an analytical or quantitative field (i.e. Economics, Finance, Engineering, Business (MBA), Mathematical Sciences, etc.) preferred
