Job description

Salary: $50,000-$60,000

The Junior Data Analyst serves as a key data and systems resource. This role supports internal and external reporting, assists in administration of the claims management system, and contributes to the development of client-facing deliverables.


The Junior Data Analyst will collaborate cross-functionally with multiple departments to support data-driven decision making and operational initiatives. Success in this role requires a strong technical foundation, exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage and fulfill internal and external report requests, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Create, modify, and maintain custom reports within the enterprise claims system
  • Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and client-facing presentations
  • Assist with data extraction, preparation, and validation using SQL, Excel, and other tools
  • Support system administration tasks for the internal claims platform, including user support and basic configuration
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data needs for projects, reporting, and operational initiatives
  • Maintain organized documentation of processes, reports, and data sources
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement and reporting efficiency

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Intermediate proficiency in SQL (e.g., joins, case statements, window functions)
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., XLOOKUP, PivotTables, charts, formulas)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to fostering productive, respectful relationships with both internal teams and external clients.


Preferred:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, data analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience with scripting or programming (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Pandas)
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Exposure to data automation or transformation tools (e.g., PowerQuery, VBA)
  • Interest in data visualization, reporting design, and process automation
