Location: GRAND PRAIRIE, TX

FLSA Status: Exempt

Job Summary

The Junior Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of projects to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Working under the guidance of senior project managers and cross-functional teams, this role assists in project documentation, scheduling, communication, and quality control. The Junior Project Manager plays a key role in driving project efficiency and learning the full lifecycle of project management in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing project plans, timelines, and deliverables under the direction of senior project managers.
  • Coordinate communication between internal teams, vendors, and clients to support project objectives.
  • Monitor project progress and help identify potential risks, delays, or resource constraints.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including meeting notes, reports, and change logs.
  • Support project budgeting and tracking by gathering data, reviewing costs, and preparing summaries.
  • Participate in project meetings and assist with status updates for stakeholders and leadership.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety or quality standards throughout project execution.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements and documenting lessons learned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in project coordination, project support, or a related role (internship experience acceptable).
  • Basic understanding of project management principles, scheduling, and documentation.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar).
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a project management career path.
