  • Mentor junior staff and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation to contribute to team development
  • Lead the development and implementation of structural methodologies, standards, and innovation initiatives
  • Represent WSP in industry associations, technical committees, and client engagements
  • Drive thought leadership in structural engineering, contributing to publications, conferences, and strategic initiatives

The Skills That Set You Apart:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's or PhD preferred.
  • Professional Designation: Licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario.
  • Experience: 10 - 20 years of experience in bridge engineering. Minimum 5 years of experience within the transportation sector in Ontario, including 5 years of direct involvement in or managing pursuits/proposals for engineering design and/or construction services.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Proven experience leading MTO, municipal, and rail projects across Ontario including expertise in the planning, preliminary, and detail design, and construction of bridges and culverts of standard and complex geometry
    • Proven experience with Design-Build/P3 projects
    • Working level knowledge of structural analysis software used in bridge design such as CSIBridge, MIDAS, etc.
    • Advanced knowledge of bridge design standards, codes, and manuals, including CAN/CSA-S6
