We are currently hiring for a Junior Project Scheduler to be located in the Los Angeles, CA area. This opportunity will have you working within our education project construction sector. The education team provides services to K-12 as well as higher education institutions nationally. You will be teaming with project, program, and client leadership to provide premier educational facilities for our nation's youth and adults seeking to better themselves through learning.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Work under the supervision of Senior Schedulers and Project Schedulers to provide construction schedule review comments for contractor-generated Baseline Schedules and Monthly Schedule
    updates based on LAUSD review templates.
  • Assist the scheduling team in creating and populating various schedule related reports in Excel and P6 software.
  • Create Earned Value Curves based on LAUSD EVA template guidelines.
  • Perform QA/QC on contractors' schedule submittals for conformance with contract scope and requirements.
  • Analyze schedules for proper use of program level standard codes, layouts and reports necessary to ensure data integrity.
  • Perform QA/QC on P6 program schedules and validate logic ties to ensure conformance with scheduling guidelines for various project types.
  • Update the master program schedule with as-built start and finish dates while coordinating input from various Facilities teams on projected/forecast sequential start/finish dates.

Required Education and Experience:
  • Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management is required.
  • One (1) year of full-time paid professional experience responsible in scheduling for an Owner or General Contractor, preferably on multiple educational facilities or public works projects.
  • Proficiency in Primavera latest version and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build efficient working relationships with project teams and department staff.
  • Superior organizational and planning skills.

The salary range for this full-time role is $63,200.00-$80,066.68 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.
