Responsibilities
  • Design and analyze structural steel frameworks and components for various construction projects.
  • Ensure all structural designs comply with relevant safety standards, regulations, and codes.
  • Collaborate with architects and other engineers to develop innovative structural solutions.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to evaluate project requirements and conditions.
  • Prepare detailed engineering reports, calculations, and technical documentation.
  • Review and approve shop drawings and specifications from fabricators.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and interns on best practices and engineering principles.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is required; additional certifications are a plus. Texas and Florida state current PE is a huge plus and you should be willing to acquire other state licenses.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the structural steel engineering field.
  • Proficient in structural analysis software such as RISA 3D, RISA Connect, RAM connection and similar tools.
  • Strong knowledge of structural design codes, standards, and specifications such as AISC, AWS, ASCE, ACI, IBC and NDS.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with project teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
