MAVRX, LLC is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer to lead pipeline design within our Land Survey Division, which serves interstate oil and gas transmission operators with preliminary and as-built pipeline survey and a growing in-house design capability. This fully remote role carries high ownership over design deliverables that go directly to major pipeline operators — including geotechnical location designation, HDD and bore design, design review, and the stamping/sealing of engineering deliverables — while providing technical oversight and mentorship to our EIT-level engineers.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and stamp/seal pipeline design deliverables, including geotechnical location designation for alignments, crossings, and bore/HDD locations
  • Perform and review HDD and conventional bore design, including profile development, entry/exit geometry, and feasibility analysis
  • Direct design drafting and exhibit production, and own QA/QC of engineering deliverables
  • Lead project research, including right-of-way, permitting, regulatory, environmental, and existing-utility analysis
  • Research permit requirements and produce and review permit drawings for submittal to federal, state, and local municipalities, and support the approval process
  • Provide technical oversight and mentorship to EIT-level engineers
  • Coordinate directly with project managers, survey crews, and operator clients
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or an adjacent engineering discipline (degree-equivalent experience considered)
  • Active PE license (Colorado, or ability to obtain Colorado licensure by comity)
  • 0–2 years of post-licensure experience (early-career PEs encouraged to apply)
  • Proficiency with CAD software (Civil 3D / AutoCAD or equivalent)
  • Strong technical writing, organization, and attention to detail
  • Reliable remote office setup, including a stable high-speed internet connection
Preferred Qualifications
  • Pipeline design experience
  • HDD/bore design, geotechnical, or crossing-design background
  • Familiarity with oil and gas transmission projects and pipeline regulatory frameworks
  • Experience mentoring or directing junior engineers
Compensation & Benefits (Colorado Disclosure)
  • Hourly pay: $45.67 – $69.71 per hour
  • Benefits may include medical, dental, and vision insurance; paid time off and paid holidays; and a 401(k) with company match (if applicable)
  • Professional licensure/dues reimbursement and continuing education support
  • Paid sick leave provided in accordance with Colorado law
  • Colorado-based employees are eligible for Colorado FAMLI (Family and Medical Leave Insurance) benefits; remote employees in other states are covered by applicable state/federal leave programs.
  • Application deadline: accepting applications on an ongoing basis
Work Environment
  • Fully remote position
  • Extended computer use and sedentary work
  • Occasional coordination with field personnel, survey crews, and project teams
