What you'll do:

  • Work on multiple projects responsible for all stages of design and development for complex problems within SCM, Tools, and Release Engineering platforms, including solution design, analysis, coding, testing, and integration
  • Manages and expands relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on software applications design and development.
  • Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with applications design and development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk.
  • Provides domain-specific expertise and overall software applications leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.
  • Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software applications design organization.
  • Provides guidance and mentoring to junior staff members.
  • Manage and monitor systems (Engineering infrastructure, Jenkins, Jira, etc.) to drive troubleshooting and resolutions.
  • Hands-on development of DevOps and automation tools using Python.
  • Understand all components of HPE Networking SD-WAN's product portfolio.
  • Identify repeatable patterns/tasks and automate them.
  • Develop and maintain User-Interface Full Stack applications
  • Get to know customers to understand their problems, then ensure we are building tools to help them succeed.
  • Help scale Engineering Infrastructure to support growth.
  • Collaborate with other team members in addressing and debugging operational issues related to end users.

What you need to bring:
Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • Typically 4-6 years experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Familiarity with Linux Systems, OS hardening, secure systems, threat modeling and other security concepts.
  • Should have an AI first mindset.
  • Strong Computer Science fundamentals - algorithms and data structures, computational complexity, parallel and distributed computing.
  • Must have strong programming knowledge using Python, Django, JavaScript, etc. and familiarity with database applications like MySQL or MongoDB.
  • Passionate about Operations - you like to make things run and fix them when they break.
  • Good knowledge of build automation systems, and Software Configuration Management and Continuous Integration systems like Jenkins, GNU Make, Jira, Git.
  • Familiarity with Cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform) a definite asset.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • A desire to constantly grow and learn new things. In this team you will be exposed to new technologies and new problems. Ability to assimilate new ideas and tackle tough problems as they arise will be the key to success.
  • Experience in overall architecture of software applications for products and solutions.
  • Designing and integrating software applications running on multiple platform types into overall architecture.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
  • Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at senior management levels.
