Job Summary

The Junior Accountant supports daily accounting and finance operations by assisting with financial reporting, month-end closing, journal entries, account reconciliations, bookkeeping, and general ledger maintenance. The role helps ensure accurate financial records, supports compliance with accounting standards, and contributes to the efficiency of financial processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and post journal entries with supporting documentation.
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Support preparation of financial statements and reporting packages.
  • Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
  • Prepare monthly sales tax returns and related reports.
  • Perform bookkeeping and maintain general ledger records.
  • Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Support continuous process improvements within the accounting function.
  • Provide administrative and financial support to the finance team.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping, accounting, or general ledger experience.
  • Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, accrual accounting, and financial reporting.
