Key Responsibilities include:

    • Oversee on-site construction operations for medium to large-scale projects, ensuring work is completed in accordance with project plans, safety regulations, and timelines, particularly in DOE, DoD, and commercial environments.
    • Oversee construction and related civil field activities for the project, including excavation and site preparation, utility coordination, concrete foundations and structural pours, grading and backfill operations, earthwork, underground piping installations, drilling support, and supervision of subcontractors. Ensure all operations comply with project specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.
    • Coordinate day-to-day site activities, including the management of subcontractors, materials, and equipment to maintain project progress and efficiency.
    • Monitor project schedules and adjust plans as necessary to meet milestones and deadlines, ensuring timely completion of construction phases.
    • Conduct site safety meetings, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and enforcing company safety policies to minimize risks.
    • Communicate regularly with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements and expectations are met.
    • Ensure quality control standards are consistently applied, reviewing workmanship and materials to confirm they meet design and specification requirements.
    • Assist with resolving any on-site construction issues or changes, working closely with the project management team to keep projects on track.
    • Supervise the work of Assistant Superintendents and junior site staff, providing guidance and feedback to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
    • Maintain daily reports and records of on-site activities, including labor, materials used, and any issues encountered during construction.
    • Assist the Senior Superintendent with budget tracking, cost management, and resource allocation for the project.
    • Other reasonable directives, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

Education, Experience, and Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred), or equivalent experience in construction supervision.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction supervision, with a focus on DOE, DoD, or large commercial projects (required).
  • Ability to plan and support concrete work using work packages, short-interval planning, workface readiness, quantity tracking, and productivity monitoring.
  • Ability to read and apply drawings, specifications, vendor data, inspection requirements, test requirements, and applicable codes and standards
  • Ability to supervise multiple crews and resolve conflicts between CTI work and other trades.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and maintain schedules under pressure while maintaining craft crew focus.
  • OSHA 30-Hour certification (required); First Aid/CPR certification (preferred). Additional certifications in construction management or safety (preferred).
  • Experience overseeing construction sites, managing subcontractors, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards (required).
  • Must receive a satisfactory pre-hire drug screen and background check.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements.
