Job Summary

WINTrio LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, integrate, deploy, and sustain full-stack software and AI-enabled applications supporting mission-critical Federal programs.

This position will support development of production-quality applications across front-end, middleware, back-end, database, cloud, and infrastructure layers. The successful candidate will build scalable applications using modern software frameworks, support AI application integration, manage CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code, and improve application performance, reliability, observability, and maintainability.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in full-stack software engineering, software architecture, relational databases, Agile development, cloud computing, DevOps, and modern application frameworks such as the PERN stack.

Job Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve enterprise software applications.
  • Develop full-stack solutions across front-end, middleware, APIs, back-end services, and relational databases.
  • Develop applications using technologies such as PostgreSQL, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js.
  • Build responsive, human-centered front-end solutions using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Develop scalable APIs, microservices, integration services, and application interfaces.
  • Support integration of generative AI, RAG, predictive analytics, document processing, and other AI services into enterprise applications.
  • Analyze user requirements, information needs, system flows, data usage, and business processes.
  • Determine system specifications, architecture requirements, interfaces, and technical implementation approaches.
  • Develop applications using multiple frameworks and modern software engineering tools.
  • Design and optimize relational database structures and application data access patterns.
  • Implement infrastructure using Terraform and other Infrastructure as Code technologies.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting automated application build, testing, deployment, and release.
  • Manage Git-based source code, branching, versioning, and collaborative development workflows.
  • Integrate observability, monitoring, logging, and application performance tools into software solutions.
  • Perform application testing, debugging, performance analysis, and root cause troubleshooting.
  • Conduct systems analysis and recommend technical, architectural, process, or performance improvements.
  • Direct or support system installation, upgrades, releases, and production deployments.
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize development, performance, and service issues.
  • Participate in Scrum and Agile ceremonies, sprint delivery, demonstrations, and iterative development.
  • Support secure software development, role-based access control, data management, and ATO requirements.
  • Develop accessible user interfaces and ensure applicable ICT solutions support Section 508 compliance.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Five (5) to ten (10) years of relevant software development or software engineering experience.
  • Extensive experience in enterprise software development and scripting.
  • Experience working within Scrum or Agile software development environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of relational databases.
  • Hands-on experience developing applications using multiple frameworks.
  • Strong proficiency with software engineering tools and software architecture.
  • Strong full-stack development experience.
  • Experience with PERN or comparable modern full-stack technologies, including PostgreSQL, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js.
  • Experience with Terraform or comparable Infrastructure as Code technologies.
  • Expertise managing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong experience with Git-based source code management.
  • Experience integrating observability tooling into software engineering environments.
  • Experience supporting software installation, upgrades, and production releases.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Excellent analytical, technical troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Work Environment
