As a Field Engineer you will analyze customer needs and seek solutions to customer design problems in order to integrate Company products into customers' systems or subsystems, apply current products to increase market penetration. Under supervision, performs analysis, implementation, testing, and documentation using application design documents and requirements specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as Lead Engineer and/or project team member for DCS projects.
  • Analyze, design, Implement, test and document project applications software using various Valmet product tools.
  • Code and/or assist in coding and test of project custom software.
  • Execute Configuration Management and Quality Assurance procedures on projects.
  • Provide on-site customer support as needed.
  • Have direct customer interaction usually associated with project software modifications.
  • Develop and/or assist in technical proposal preparation.
  • Proficient problem-solving capabilities Perform related duties as assigned
Expectations
  • Bachelor's degree; in job related field or 4 - 7 years related experience and/or training or Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of algorithm design and programming logic
  • Exhibit proficient problem-solving capabilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Note: Some travel required.

Candidate must be authorized to work in the US and the position is not open for relocation.

Knowledge Preferred
  • Process instrumentation, control and automation practices.

To be successful in this role, you must be electro-mechanically inclined, self-guided, and have a strong work ethic.
