Job Description

The Net.America Corporation is seeking a an Intermediate Asset Specialist who will manage the operations of the IT procurement and inventory management function on a contract. The incumbent will manage the maintenance of records and databases containing information regarding warranties, and service agreements for the organization's hardware and software. The Manager will ensure that organizational cost is minimized through product standardization and tracking.  

Qualifications

The Specialist's duties include but are not limited to: 

Account for the IT assets throughout the enterprise and utilize Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) tools to manage all assets within the organization and distributed locations throughout the world.

 Perform a variety of audit and analysis functions involving the purchase, inventory, and disposal of equipment and material for a multitude of IT programs.

 Assist senior staff to explain IT/Life Cycle management policies and procedures,and to resolve conflicts.

Consolidate multiple databases and spreadsheets in order to import a complete inventory into the client inventory by exception tool and Defense Property Accountability System (DP AS).

Verify, enter, and adjust equipment IT Asset Management data in a variety of forms, schedules, and reports.

Track entire life-cycle management for each asset in order to maintain warranty and licensing information, refresh date and end of life date information.

Develop written plans, policies and procedures, and document processes to support implementation of asset management.

Develop records, spreadsheets and databases from information obtained from DPAS records.

Audit the asset inventory and lifecycle replacement service programs using the unit's Asset Management, Asset Discovery and Dependency Mapping tools.

Conduct reconciliation of data contained between inventory by exception Asset Management and DPAS to ensure accuracy.

Coordinate Asset Management meetings and interdepartmental actions.

Provide assistance to Program Managers when needed in the following fields, receiving excess equipment for DRMO, issuing IT hardware, software and component supplies to client personal, storage and warehouse organization/inventory management.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in IT or related field

2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.  

Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.   


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

IT PROCUREMENT and inventory management experience

Auditing experience

ITSM tools experience

Knowledge of DOD property accountability regulations/procedures

Advanced knowledge of DPAS

Extensive working knowledge or Microsoft Office Suite


Position begins May/June 2016

MUST be a US Citizen

MUST hold a Secret Clearance
