About the role:

As a Mechanical Engineering II you will develop 3D models, detailed manufacturing drawings and bills of materials for complex electro-mechanical first of a kind tooling.

You will report to the Manager of Maintenance Tooling Engineering. This position will have a Hybrid work schedule. Employees working in hybrid roles are expected to work onsite at one of our Ontario offices (Kitchener, Burlington, Peterborough) 2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop 3D models, detailed manufacturing drawings and bills of materials for complex electro-mechanical first of a kind tooling
  • Assembly and testing of custom equipment through the design evolution from prototype to finished product
  • Help develop test procedures for systems to ensure compliance with design specifications
  • Help operate the final tooling system in the customer facilities
  • Provide technical oversight and mentoring of more junior members of the Engineering team
  • Perform both classical hand calculations and analysis (including FEA) to qualify systems and components against applicable codes and standards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Engineering from Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant experience
  • Understanding of conceptual design development, with design reviews and engineering change control processes

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $77,600  to $97,000  per year.
