Within FOX Entertainment's Creative Advertising Group sits the Visual Innovation Studio (aka VIS). The 'VIS' team is FOX Entertainment's in-house design agency - combining the disciplines of design, animation, illustration, and photography to craft bespoke visuals for FOX's marketing efforts - and we are looking for a motion graphics focused Senior Art Director to join FOX's VIS Digital team. The ideal candidate will have a positive team attitude, be able to creatively handle fast turnarounds and deliver quality work on tight deadlines. The Senior Art Director will be expected to contribute conceptually, creatively, and technically while executing high-impact marketing initiatives with A+ quality for the digital and social media landscape. This position will direct VIS Digital art directors, junior designers, and freelancers to implement creative direction set by the VIS department leads

Regular, on-site attendance at the workplace for a minimum of four (4) days per week is an essential function of the position. The selected candidate must be able to reliably meet this requirement.


A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strong conceptual thinking with active participation in creative ideation, strategy and brainstorming
  • Work with the Creative Director and other team members to conceptually develop and execute creative that incorporates best practices in digital and social media
  • Work closely with Project Managers to understand timing and deliverables and plan production
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously under demanding deadlines
  • Assist the Creative Directors in providing creative leadership to art directors, designers, and freelancers.
  • Understand and maintain FOX show brand requirements, goals, and objectives while pushing creative boundaries
  • Create storyboards, comps, animation, visual effects, photo-retouching, and image enhancements that meet or exceed strategic objectives
  • Produce animated motion graphics, titles, text, and infographics
  • Produce creative solutions that meet or exceed strategic objectives
  • Stay current with the latest trends and technology in advertising and marketing, but also in culture generally


WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 10+ years of professional design, motion, and advertising experience with a portfolio that demonstrates cutting edge work
  • Mastery of After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Solid working knowledge of 3D animation software (Cinema 3D, Blender) is a plus!
  • Understanding digital ad products and placements to create channel-specific visuals that embody best practices for each platform
  • Strong understanding of social platforms (including specs) and the social media space
  • Hands-on digital senior art director, self-starter and innovative thinker
  • A critical eye for visual details such as color, typography, and composition
  • Capability to work and transition seamlessly from projects across different media (social media, motion graphics, and static work)
  • Ability to plan, organize, and adapt in a constantly changing digital/social media environments
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $128,000.00-155,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
