HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Lead and manage the Skip Hop international business across multiple assigned regions, driving strategy to meet or exceed revenue and profitability goals
  • Serve as the senior point of contact and build strategic, executive-level relationships with key international distributor and licensee partners
  • Direct cross-functional collaboration with merchandising, planning, marketing, eCommerce, accounting, and operations to ensure account needs are met and brand standards are upheld
  • Lead sell-in presentations of assortment collections to customers, including senior leadership and executive audiences, via virtual and in-person product presentations
  • Oversee order file management and accuracy of customer sales orders, delegating and reviewing work as needed
  • Partner with supply chain leadership to ensure timely shipment of open orders and resolve escalated fulfillment issues
  • Analyze business performance, sales trends, and market dynamics on a weekly/monthly basis, proactively recommending adjustments to bookings, shipments, or sales plans
  • Own the monthly review of customer open to buy (OTB) plans and inventory levels across the territory, ensuring healthy stock positions
  • Act as the senior subject matter expert on assigned accounts and the competitive landscape, advising leadership on market opportunities and risks
  • Lead the planning and execution of International Sales Meetings, including content strategy, logistics, and internal/external communication
  • Partner with international and domestic leadership to align on U.S. best practices, drive brand standards, and elevate operational excellence across international accounts
  • Evaluate and help structure new business opportunities, and lead the onboarding of new international accounts and partners
  • Mentor and provide day-to-day guidance to junior international team members (e.g., Account Executives, Coordinators) supporting assigned regions
  • Support the VP of Sales on strategic international initiatives and represent the international team on cross-departmental projects
  • Own and manage forward-looking customer sales plans, budgets, and P&L for assigned regions
  • Provide day-to-day guidance, mentorship, and work direction to junior international team members (e.g., Account Executive, Coordinator)
  • Communicate directly with senior executives and leadership of international accounts via email, phone, and in-person meetings
  • Lead negotiation of contract agreements, extensions, and compliance matters with external accounts
  • Exercise independent judgment on account strategy, pricing, and resource allocation decisions within assigned territory

WE'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:
Must have:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA a plus
  • 7-10 years of experience working with international Distributors/Licensees
  • 7+ years in sales, apparel/consumer products industry preferred
  • Prior experience mentoring or managing junior staff preferred
  • Foreign language proficiency a plus

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Deep knowledge of international business models; extensive experience working with distributors/licensees
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal, written, and executive-level communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical, financial, and project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and mentor junior team members
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, exercise sound judgment, and operate in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with senior internal and external partners
  • Compensation for this position ranges from $140,000-$150,000 a year based on experience.
