Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Jr. Data Analyst to serve as the operational backbone of our sales compensation and data processes. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of sales commissions and quota data. You will act as the "first line of defense" for data integrity, handling the day-to-day validation of Point of Sale (POS) transactions and supporting the Data Analytics Manager in maintaining our reporting ecosystems. This is an ideal role for an analytical professional looking to grow their skills in SQL, Tableau, and Revenue Operations.
Commissions & Quota Administration (Primary Focus)
  • Process Calculations: Execute monthly and quarterly commission calculations for the global sales team, ensuring strict adherence to compensation plans.
  • Data Validation: Review and validate Point of Sale (POS) data and booking reports to ensure all deals are credited to the correct territory and sales representative.
  • Dispute Resolution: Serve as the primary point of contact for sales representatives regarding commission discrepancies; research and resolve "shadow accounting" disputes.
  • Quota Management: Maintain up-to-date records of sales quotas, territory changes, and new hires in the compensation system.

Data Quality & Stewardship
  • Data Cleansing: Regularly audit sales data for duplicates, missing fields, or incorrect hierarchies to ensure the analytics team is building models on clean data.
  • Governance Support: Assist in enforcing business rules (e.g., ensuring all opportunities in the CRM have the correct "Close Date" and "Stage" prior to month-end).
  • Master Data Maintenance: Update product lists, pricing tables, and user hierarchies within the sales systems.

Junior Analytics & Reporting
  • Report Refreshing: Update and distribute standard weekly/monthly sales performance reports and dashboards.
  • Ad-Hoc Analysis: Support the analytics team by pulling specific datasets or running "what-if" scenarios in Excel for territory planning.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of commission workflows and data dictionaries (SOPs).
