Will guide initiatives involving identification and selection of technology, architecture and roadmap to achieve business objectives. **Required Qualifications*** Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related.* 10 or More Years experience with software development or* 5 Years experience with software development with a Master's degree.* Experienced in mobile application architecture and Progressive Web Applications.* Experienced in enterprise application design patterns and principles, CI/CD development methodologies, tools, and best practices.* Experienced with complex database design concepts and the ability to determine the best solution based on individual project requirements and goals.* Experienced in interfacing with both internal and 3rd party APIs as well as designing and developing new APIs as part of a services oriented architecture.**Preferred Qualifications*** Master's Degree in computer science or related.**Essential Functions*** Design Solution Architecture Provide leadership for the identification, definition, design, development, documentation, and maintenance of enterprise application architectures and roadmaps. Facilitate the design of application and database solutions using best practice programming conventions. Consult in the development of system solutions that are consistent with business strategy and operational needs. Ensure the alignment of the technology roadmap with corporate objectives, assess risks and develop mitigation strategies in collaboration with business stakeholders. Interprets and translates business needs into efficient and effective strategies and designs. Ensures efficient resource utilization via analysis and sound development of designs. Creates standards and guidelines for staff developing solutions / applications to ensure adherence to standards and conventions. Expertise in application design and database modeling (both physical and logical). Ensures application design is consistent and aligned with the overall architecture. Establishes best practices guidelines for others to follow when designing and developing applications. Creates standards for documenting file structures, programming constructs, deployment, and other technical features of applications developed or installed by the organization.* Technology and Technical Leadership Provide the leadership necessary in the evaluation of current and new technologies for establishment of strategies, roadmaps as well as incorporation with existing technologies. Serves as a senior technical expert creating high-level architectural designs and addressing problems of systems integration, compatibility, and security. Actively works with senior developers in architecting designs and software development to ensure products are robust, scalable, resilient and extensible. Possesses an extraordinarily high level of skill in information technologies applicable to Sharp and application development, including mobile technology. Drives the transition to Service Oriented Architecture while leveraging existing and new infrastructure including cloud technologies. Communicates and educates on emerging trends and technologies. Provide mentorship for staff members and assists with their technical challenges.* Problem Analysis and Resolution Provide a strategic analysis of applications running in Sharp environment for highest level of availability, scalability, security, and performance. Performs strategic analysis and recommends strategy and application solutions that are flexible, highly reliable, and available. Ensures applications meet department expectations to be self-monitoring and capable of issuing predictive warnings of failures through existing system monitoring tools. Ensures adequate technical analysis is performed before implementing solutions. Responds to requests for service within guidelines and timeframes as established to meet organizational objectives. Performs appropriate make or buy analysis and provides recommendations to IT and Business management. Provides consultation for the identification and resolution of issues associated with support efforts. Provide long-range planning, making recommendations to the sites' architecture; performing analysis, development, implementation, and documentation of technical issues affecting web pages, databases, and related components. Analyze the performance and scalability impact of various in-place and proposed designs, perform peer design and code reviews* System Configuration Guidance Drive the implementation of automation opportunities associated with the development, validation and deployment of solutions. Provide guidance for the configuration, development, validation and deployment of solutions to ensure optimum system performance. Ensures the creation and timely maintenance of system related documentation such that features and procedures are well documented and communicated. Foster sound judgment in performing change control management appropriately, including synchronization of test and production environments. Guide the definition and maintenance of processes to ensure the appropriate branching and versioning of the code and appropriate use of nonproduction environments. Provides guidelines and reviews system configuration approaches to ensure alignment with the overall architecture and needs. Provides strategic oversight to staff members on design, coding, unit testing, performance testing, and security testing. Ensures that production delays do not occur due to negligence or failure to follow proper procedures.
