JOB SUMMARY

Sr Specialist Installation is responsible for providing Tier 2 level support for end user requests related to desktop\laptop configurations, applications, email, internet access and peripherals. Additional responsibilities will include leading installation teams for new\renovated areas and assisting junior members of the team.

JOB SUMMARYSr Specialist Installation is responsible for providing Tier 2 level support for end user requests related to desktop\laptop configurations, applications, email, internet access and peripherals. Additional responsibilities will include leading installation teams for new\renovated areas and assisting junior members of the team.

JOB FUNCTIONS | **Customer Service and Support:*** Provides customer service and support to NMHS users of microcomputer hardware and software* Advocates for end users when IT issues are outside of the scope of the Technical Systems Department* Responsible for complex end user support and desktop PC maintenance, troubleshooting, updates and network connectivity* Ensures enforcement of all ITS security policies and procedures**Implementation/Installation:*** Timely and accurately installs microcomputer hardware systems and software including upgrades and enhancements* Leads Projects for new clinic installations, department moves and closing\\openings, and equipment needs of new groups\\physicians**System Analysis:*** Evaluates needs of user departments and recommends hardware and software solutions* Tests new software programs for compatibility and updates existing programs prior to installation* Conducts advanced problem-solving research and serves as an escalation resource for junior members* Works with InfoSec team to ensure new applications go through the security review process**Training/Education:*** Plan, develop, and coordinate training programs/classes in the use of microcomputers and other peripherals (as needed)* Stays abreast of current advances/updates in technology* Trains junior members on NMHS methodology and latest technology**Reporting:*** Maintains database of system changes and revisions**Regulation**:* Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines* Complies with applicable Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guideline/regulations/laws/statues**Problem Solving Skills:*** Ability to provide microcomputer support in an accurate, efficient, and effective manner* Ability to install, configure, troubleshoot and support current and past Microsoft Windows clients* Ability to research current technological advances/changes and communicate back to leadership when appropriate* Ability to accurately and effectively respond to customer complaints* Ability to test software/hardware and offer accurate/efficient suggestions for implementation* Ability to accurately and effectively communicate to users, vendors, and other NMHS staff* Ability to troubleshoot and support VOIP phones and associated peripherals* Ability to work with our vendors for additional help on complex issues
