Your work environment at EXP

In this role, you will be a part of the Land Development team, based in Calgary, AB office, and have the opportunity to work with a great team. Working closely with Project Engineers/Managers and Discipline Manager and participate and provide support to senior staff in the design of complex Land Development projects including large scale residential, industrial, and commercial developments in and around Calgary.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Lead and oversee design of Land Development projects, including water mains, sanitary sewer systems, storm drainage, lot grading, roadways, and stormwater management facilities
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technologists
  • Perform and review complex design calculations ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices
  • Manage projects from concept to completion, including coordination with clients, approving authorities, and internal teams
  • Prepare and validate engineering drawings and record documents for land development projects
  • Ensure quality control and adherence to timelines across all deliverables

What your experience looks like

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology Diploma (C.E.T certified), or any other relevant degree or diploma
  • Minimum 8+ years of progressive experience in land development projects
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and ability to oversee its application across projects
  • Strong knowledge of municipal design standards, regulatory approvals, and permitting processes
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, and schedules effectively
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in both office and field environments
  • Valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle
