Senior X-Midas Software Developer | Intelligence Community | TS/SCI Clearance

Join our employee-owned team as a Senior X-Midas Software Developer and play a critical role in developing and sustaining mission-critical software solutions for the Intelligence Community. We're seeking an experienced software engineer with 7+ years of X-Midas development expertise to contribute to the ongoing modernization of the X-Midas baseline used across multiple classified programs. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-impact defense and intelligence projects while collaborating with a talented team of engineers dedicated to delivering cutting-edge signal processing solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the sustainment, feature development, and modernization efforts for the X-Midas baseline deployed across Intelligence Community programs
  • Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable and repeatable software delivery
  • Develop, test, and validate X-Midas modules and components against detailed design specifications
  • Identify and implement system performance improvements, architectural enhancements, and operational stability upgrades with minimal program disruption
  • Write clean, maintainable code in C++ and Python for signal processing applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams across multiple sites to guide technical direction and establish best practices
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the development team
  • Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives
  • Ensure compliance with security best practices and government requirements in classified environments
Required Qualifications
  • Active TS security clearance required; TS/SCI clearance preferred
  • 7+ years of hands-on X-Midas application development experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
  • Strong software development expertise in C++ and Python; experience with additional programming languages is a plus
  • Proven track record building, deploying, and maintaining production software systems
  • Demonstrated experience creating, testing, and validating X-Midas modules and components
  • Proficiency with Linux/Unix operating systems (Rocky, RHEL, CentOS, or similar distributions)
  • Strong knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git
  • Experience working within collaborative, cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to document technical solutions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Signal Processing & DSP Expertise: Background in digital signal processing (DSP) software applications including signal detection, spectrum monitoring, geolocation, RF analysis, or related techniques
  • Testing & Performance: Experience with software testing, debugging, and performance tuning in complex multi-language signal processing environments
  • DevOps & Automation: Knowledge of DevOps practices, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and automated testing frameworks
  • System Analysis: Proven ability to analyze existing legacy systems, understand complex dependencies, and implement changes with minimal operational disruption
  • Scripting & Automation: Proficiency with shell scripting (Bash, Python scripting) and automation tools
  • Security & Compliance: Applied knowledge of security best practices, compliance requirements, and development standards in classified or government environments
  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance with willingness to undergo polygraph examination
