Job description

About the Role:
We're hiring a Software Developer with DevOps experience to help design, build, and support mission-focused applications for the Intelligence Community. You'll join a small, highly experienced engineering team building and modernizing secure, high-availability systems used by geographically distributed users.

What You'll Do:

  • Join a small, experienced team enhancing and modernizing cloud architectures supporting key operations
  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable applications in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable software delivery
  • Develop and optimize ETL pipelines for data processing
  • Configure and maintain message queuing systems (RabbitMQ or similar)
  • Write Python scripts to automate infrastructure and deployment tasks
  • Monitor system performance and drive improvements to reliability and efficiency
  • Collaborate with developers on deployment and infrastructure best practices
  • Promote clarity and maintainability through clean design and lightweight documentation

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active TS clearance required, TS/SCI preferred
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 2–10 years of experience building, deploying, and maintaining production software
  • Proficient in Linux/Unix (Rocky, RHEL, or similar)
  • Skilled in Python (preferred) or other languages such as C/C++ or Java
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
  • Understanding of DevSecOps principles and practices
  • Hands-on CI/CD experience (GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, AWS GovCloud, Azure, or GCP)
  • Git version control experience
  • Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills
  • CompTIA Security+ (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)

Nice to Have:

Programming & Architecture:

  • Multiple programming languages; Python data science libraries (NumPy, pandas, SciPy)
  • RESTful microservices experience (FastAPI, Spring Boot)
  • Legacy system refactoring into containerized/microservice architectures
