Job description

Job Title: Full Stack Java Developer (Senior/Lead) — Microservices & EJB
Location: Alpharetta, GA (Onsite) only local profiles
Experience: 12+ Years
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Full Stack Java Developer with 12+ years of experience, including deep expertise in EJB (Enterprise JavaBeans) and modern Microservices architecture, to join our team in Alpharetta, GA. The ideal candidate will bridge legacy enterprise Java systems with modern, cloud-ready microservices, working across the full stack in a financial technology environment.
Key Responsibilities:
∙ Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java, J2EE, and EJB
∙ Design and build scalable Microservices using Spring Boot
∙ Modernize/migrate legacy EJB-based applications to microservices architecture where applicable
∙ Work across the full stack — backend services, REST APIs, and front-end integration
∙ Collaborate with architects to define microservices boundaries, service contracts, and integration patterns
∙ Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability
∙ Implement API gateways, service discovery, and inter-service communication patterns
∙ Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and mentor junior developers
∙ Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
∙ Ensure adherence to coding standards, security best practices, and compliance requirements (financial services)
∙ Support CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments
Required Skills:
∙ 12+ years of experience in Java/J2EE development
∙ Strong hands-on experience with EJB (session beans, entity beans, message-driven beans)
∙ Proven experience designing and building Microservices (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud)
∙ Experience with application servers (WebLogic, WebSphere, or JBoss)
∙ Strong knowledge of Spring Framework, Hibernate/JPA
∙ RESTful/SOAP web services
∙ Containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
∙ Database experience (Oracle, DB2, or similar)
∙ Financial services/banking domain experience preferred
∙ Strong understanding of design patterns and distributed systems
∙ Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, CI/CD tools (Jenkins)
