Position: Senior Full Stack Engineer
Location: Durham, North Carolina (One week onsite- Alternative week remote)
Duration: Contract with potential conversion
Pay Range: $60/hr-$75/hr

Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and enhance enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and AWS. This is a hands-on, technical role supporting Agile product teams responsible for delivering scalable, customer-facing applications. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical subject matter expert (SME), collaborating with business stakeholders, architects, and developers while defining application architecture, mentoring junior engineers, and driving engineering best practices.
Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable application architecture.
  • Develop and enhance Java/Spring Boot backend services.
  • Build modern Angular user interfaces.
  • Deploy cloud-native applications to AWS.
  • Improve application performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, and sprint delivery.
  • Collaborate with UX, Product Owners, and business stakeholders.
  • Support production issues and client onboarding.
  • Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.
  • Mentor junior developers and establish engineering best practices.
  • Develop technical documentation and implementation standards.

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
  • Proficiency in Angular and TypeScript development.
  • Experience with REST API development.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
  • SQL/database development expertise.
  • Familiarity with Jenkins or comparable CI/CD tooling.
  • Proficiency in GitHub and modern source control practices.
  • Experience designing technical architecture and evaluating design tradeoffs.
  • Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor developers.
