About the Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer III – Eng to join our dynamic team in Payroll. This role provides an opportunity to lead projects and contribute to high‑impact software solutions that are used by enterprises and users worldwide. As a Software Engineer III, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of complex software systems, as well as mentoring junior engineers. You will work in a collaborative environment, contributing to the technical foundation behind our flagship products and services.

Responsibilities
  • Software Development: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code for various software applications and systems.
  • Technical Leadership: Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of complex software applications and systems, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and performance.
  • Project Management: Manage execution and delivery of features and projects, negotiating project priorities and deadlines, ensuring successful and timely completion with quality.
  • Architectural Design: Participate in design reviews with peers and stakeholders and in the architectural design of new features and systems while ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Code Review: Diligently review code by other developers, provide feedback, and maintain a high bar of technical excellence to ensure code is adhering to industry‑standard best practices.
  • Testing: Build testable software, define tests, participate in the testing process, automate tests using tools (Junit, Selenium), and design patterns leveraging the test‑automation pyramid as the guide.
  • Service Health and Quality: Maintain the health and quality of services and incidents, proactively identifying and resolving problems, utilising service health indicators and telemetry for action, providing recommendations to optimise performance, conducting thorough root‑cause analysis and driving implementation of preventive measures.
  • DevOps Model: Understand working in a DevOps model. Take ownership from working with product management on requirements to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software in production.
  • Documentation: Properly document new features, enhancements, or fixes to the product, contributing to training materials, and sharing knowledge with the team.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with other team members, product, and external team members to align and ensure the integrity and quality of the final solution.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in software development.
  • Strong proficiency in Java, React, and Typescript.
  • Demonstrated experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with AI technologies, including machine learning frameworks and tools (highly preferred).
  • Extensive experience with software development practices and design patterns.
  • Proficiency using version control systems (GitHub) and bug/work‑tracking systems (JIRA).
  • Solid understanding of cloud technologies and DevOps principles.
  • Strong experience with front‑end frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (TeamCity, GitHub Actions).
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
