This role can be based out of Chicago, IL or Lafayette, LA. This is a hybrid work environment.

The EDI EDIFECS Application Developer will design, develop, and integrate solutions to solve business and technical requirements across EDI applications. Candidate must be passionate about technology, writing code and solving problems; able to work both independently and in close partnership with cross functional teams and management; a motivated team member who enjoys learning and sharing knowledge.

• Write clean, secure, efficient, and modular code
• Simplify and improve existing application code ensuring high unit test coverage
• Identify potential problems and resolve application bottlenecks

• Provide mentoring to junior engineers
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• 7+ years of software development experience with a successful track record of production ready solutions
• Deep understanding of all things "database" schema design, optimization, scalability, etc.
• Experience with database technologies such as MySQL, Teradata, MongoDB
• Experience with continuous integration and source code control such as GitLab, GitHub, TFS
• Proficient in EDI applications: Edifecs v9.1, BizTalk 2016, SSIS, and their components
• Working knowledge of X12N transactions, HL7 messages, and FHIR
• WCF, Web Services, Java, C#, .NET framework, SQL/SSIS development related to EDI
• API Apps, API Management Portal
• Visual Studio Team Foundation Server (VSTFS)
• MS SQL Servers 2012, 2014, 2016
• System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), SCOM
• Bachelor's degree in computer science/software engineering or equivalent work experience
