Job description

We are seeking a developer experience in Fixed Income and front office trading system.

Note: Need local candidates and hands on recent experience in Fixed income and Front office trading system experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Design & development of firm’s proprietary, high performance FI E-Trading platform encompassing fixed income all products (Credits/Rates)
  • Understand RUN, Axes, RFQs workflow for Dealer to Client markets such as MarketAxess, TradeWeb, Bloomberg.
  • Work alongside traders and quantitative analysts to specify and build out real-time trading applications that electronically execute orders across multiple ECNs. 
  • Supporting and enhancing existing infrastructure and application across a variety of technologies (ION, Java, Kdb)
  • Drive implementation and design with emphasis on high availability, scalability and reusability
  • Working with other Fixed Income front office teams lead to promote framework reusability across all business
  • Champion best practice software development life cycle with emphasis in test driven coding methodology
  • Balance time to market (client delivery) with proper governance, compliance and audit mandates
  • Mentor junior developer

Requirements:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related
  • 5+ years of financial service experience
  • Able to communicate effectively with the desk.
  • Strong design, coding, testing and debugging skills
  • Strong experience in front office trading system with emphasis in E-Trading
  • Programming Languages – Java (10+ years), C#, Javascript a plus.
  • Must have general Fixed Income Pricing and Analytic knowledge
  • Must have strong multithreaded programming experience
  • Must have knowledge of Client Markets MarketAxess, Bloomberg, TradeWeb
  • Must have knowledge of Credit Buy-Side/Sell-Side market structure
  • Knowledge of FIX protocol a plus
  • Knowledge of ION or Broadway API a plus
  • Knowledge of KDB/Q a plus

Preferred, but not required:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
