The Veterans Affairs business unit helps transform the VA into a modern digital services organization where Veteran outcomes are at the center of every effort. Primary Responsibilities:
Senior Configuration & Release Management Analyst to support a complex Java microservices environment. This role is responsible for ensuring deployment readiness, validating software dependencies across environments, supporting production releases, and identifying configuration or security issues before code is promoted to Production.
The position serves as a bridge between Development, DevOps, Security, and Operations teams, helping safeguard releases and maintain environment consistency across Dev, Test, Pre-Prod, and Production.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Configuration Management, Release Management, Software Asset Management, or related disciplines.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Configuration & Release Management

  • Git branching, merging, and tagging

DevOps / Build Tools

  • Troubleshooting deployment and configuration issues

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) programs.
  • Experience supporting large-scale modernization or enterprise software programs.
  • Experience working in DevSecOps and CI/CD environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or similar lifecycle management tools.

  • Certified Configuration and Data Management Professional (CCDMP)
  • ITIL Foundation Certification
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
  • SAFe Agilist (SA)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)

In support of various state and city equal pay transparency laws, Ad Hoc job descriptions feature the starting range we reasonably expect to pay to candidates who would join our team with little to no need for training on the responsibilities we've outlined above. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and responsibility. The range of starting pay for this role is $100,000 - $125,000.
