We are targeting students completing their sophomore or junior year of college who are interested in working in a dynamic and engaging work environment to participate in our internship program. Elkay interns will apply the skills and knowledge developed in college while contributing to exciting real world projects!
The Industrial Engineering Intern will assist the Engineering team with various projects to support the manufacturing plant focusing on creating line balance and implementing Standard Work on a new assembly line.
The student will gain experience in the day-to-day activities and project work done by a typical industrial engineer.
We are targeting students completing their sophomore or junior year of college who are interested in working in a dynamic and engaging work environment to participate in our internship program. Students completing their freshman year may apply, but we prefer students already into their core curriculum. Elkay interns will apply the skills and knowledge developed in college while contributing to exciting real-world projects!
Qualifications:
  • Students completing their freshman year working toward a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field strongly preferred
  • Must be able to work 40 hours per week
  • Ability to work with others, but highly self-motivated to achieve individual tasks efficiently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong attention to detail a must
  • Creative problem-solving skills essential; strong analytical skills desired
  • Computer skills including excellent skills with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • GPA desired: 3.0 or better

The compensation range(s) identified below are a good faith estimate of the salary expected to be paid as performed from these locations. Actual salaries may vary based on compensable factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, education and training, and other relevant business and organizational factors. The compensation range for this position is based on student year entered and is $19.50/hour.
