Our service and solutions delivery start with understanding each client's end-state, and then seamlessly integrating within each Agency's organization to improve and enhance strategic and technical operations and deployments.
Position Overview:
BLN24 is seeking a Junior DevSecOps Engineer to support a cloud-native, web-
based modernization of a mission-critical forecasting system. The selected
candidate will help build and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines, AWS
infrastructure, and Kubernetes deployments for modern micro-frontend and
microservices-based applications.
Tech Stack: React micro-frontends, Python/Node.js microservices, AWS EKS,
GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes
Key Responsibilities:
CI/CD & Automation
  • Build and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for micro-frontends and microservices.
  • Implement automated testing, security scanning, including SAST/DAST, and deployment workflows.
  • Manage container builds and AWS ECR container registries.
  • Configure GitOps workflows.
  • Support blue-green and canary deployment strategies.

AWS Cloud Infrastructure
  • Provision cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Manage AWS services, including EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, CloudFront, API Gateway, and ALB.
  • Support auto-scaling, cost optimization, disaster recovery, and multi-region deployments.

Kubernetes Operations
  • Deploy and manage Kubernetes workloads, including Deployments, StatefulSets, and HPA.
  • Create and maintain Helm charts for application packaging.
  • Troubleshoot pod failures, resource constraints, and deployment issues.
  • Support service mesh configuration, including Istio or Linkerd, as needed.

Security & Compliance
  • Support FISMA High and FedRAMP Moderate compliance requirements.
  • Manage IAM policies, Secrets Manager, and KMS encryption.
  • Support human-level validations for Gen-AI led test-driven design processes.

Required Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of DevOps experience.
  • 1+ year of AWS experience, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, or EKS.
  • 1+ year of GitLab CI/CD experience, or comparable experience with GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
  • Strong Docker and Kubernetes experience.
  • Scripting experience with Python, Bash, or Node.js.
  • Experience with Terraform or AWS CDK; Terraform preferred.
  • Linux administration.
  • Git version control experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • AWS Certifications
  • Experience with real-time web applications, WebSocket, or WebGL
