WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Provide engaging individual and group tennis instruction to members and their guests.
  • Coach junior and adult players across a variety of skill levels.
  • Assist with organizing and promoting tennis and other racquet sports programming.
  • Support clinics, events, tournaments, and other Racquets activities.
  • Help grow participation and enthusiasm for tennis, paddle, and pickleball.
  • Create a positive, encouraging environment that makes players excited to return to the court.
  • Build strong relationships with members through personalized instruction and exceptional service.
  • Partner with the Racquets team to deliver programming that reflects the Cherokee Standard.

Requirements
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • 3+ years of experience working with adult and junior tennis programs.
  • 3+ years of racquet sports teaching experience.
  • A competitive tennis or racquet sports playing background preferred.
  • College playing experience or approximately a 5.0 playing level preferred.
  • College degree preferred.
  • USPTA, PTR, or Pickleball certification is a plus.
  • Strong verbal communication and teaching skills.
  • A positive, energetic, and professional presence on the court.
  • Ability to connect comfortably with juniors and adults.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand and coach for extended periods and work outdoors throughout the year.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

SCHEDULE
This is a part-time, on-call position, with scheduling based on lessons, programming, member demand, and Club needs.
