Summary of the Job:
The Lead Developer, Technology is responsible for collaborating with an agile team to ensure the solutions developed will deliver value and improve the quality of the software. This includes partnering with the product ownership and the business on the team to define tasks and provide final estimates for User Stories. The Developers are responsible for attending and participating in all Scrum ceremonies
About This Role:
Responsibilities
  • Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
  • Ability to lead work breakdown exercises to create projects, epics, and stories
  • Lead in the development of front-end application standards with a focus on re-usability and security.
  • Serve as a technical mentor for peers, guiding developers to apply software patterns and principles.
  • Provide guidance on industry and company best practices within the team and the organization
  • Partner with Enterprise Architecture to apply/define architecture principles for current and future stacks
  • Participate and engage in COEs (Centers of Excellence) to lead agile teams in the adoption of technology standards and best practices with a focus on reusability, scalability, resiliency and security
  • Design client-side and server-side architecture
  • Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
  • Design client-side, server-side, and mobile architecture. Influence and guide the use of Micro Front-end Design
  • Technology Steward - Identify technology needs and work with the Squad Leadership to prioritize those needs with other business objectives. Ensure we are delivering on technology value in addition to business value.
  • Test software, both manual and automated, to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot and debug software
  • Create security and data protection settings

Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience with multiple front-end languages and libraries (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, XML, jQuery) and JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React)
  • 5+ years' experience with multiple back-end languages (Java, Spring Boot, Kotlin)
  • 5+ years' experience with designing and implementing REST APIs (working knowledge of OpenAPI Spec/Swagger); working knowledge of SOAP APIs
  • Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle, SQLServer) and web servers (e.g. Apache, nginx)
  • Experience with software design principles as well as UI prototype design
  • Working knowledge of Test-Driven and Behavior-Driven Development
  • Ability to write quality unit, functional and automated tests
  • Experience with Git as a version control system, in conjunction with solutions such as Bitbucket, GitHub or GitLab
  • Knowledge of Gradle, Apache Maven, Apache ANT is desirable

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

  • Financial services industry experience preferred but not required
  • Experience utilizing AI engineering tools to accelerate software development pipelines preferred
  • Experience with AWS Native development preferred but not required

Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.
Compensation:
Compensation range (base pay): $107,552.00-$182,838.00
This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.
Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
