Job description

Role: JAVA FULL STACK DEVELOPER

Location: Chicago, IL Hybrid (Locals only)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Java Full Stack Developer with deep expertise in Asset and Wealth Management to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining full stack solutions that power digital investment platforms, client onboarding, portfolio management, and other core wealth management functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable and secure backend services using Java (8/11/17), Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
  • Build responsive and intuitive front-end interfaces using Angular, React, or other modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements in the Asset & Wealth Management domain (e.g., investment portfolios, trade execution, client reporting).
  • Implement RESTful APIs to integrate internal systems and third-party services (e.g., custodians, trading platforms, KYC/AML providers).
  • Collaborate with DevOps for CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Optimize application performance, reliability, and security for high-availability financial platforms.
  • Lead code reviews and mentor junior developers.
  • Write unit, integration, and automation tests to ensure code quality.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, MiFID II, FINRA) and internal governance policies.

Required Skills:

  • 8+ years of experience as a Java Full Stack Developer.
  • Strong knowledge of Spring/Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices.
