Position Summary

Upchurch is seeking a NETA Level III - Senior/Lead Electrical Testing Technician to support our Electrical Service Department. This role leads field testing crews and performs advanced testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning on electrical power distribution equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead electrical testing crews on acceptance and maintenance projects.

  2. Perform advanced testing, including primary injection, secondary injection/relay testing, and breaker timing.

  3. Troubleshoot abnormal or failed test results and provide corrective recommendations.

  4. Validate and review test data; prepare accurate field reports.

  5. Ensure all work complies with NETA standards and safety regulations (NFPA 70E, OSHA).

Qualifications
  1. NETA Level III Certification (required).

  2. 5+ years of electrical testing experience with MV/LV power systems.

  3. Strong knowledge of protective relays, switchgear, breakers, transformers, and testing equipment.

  4. Proven ability to lead crews and mentor junior technicians.

  5. Valid driver’s license; ability to travel.
