Join our Innovation Team as a Front-End Developer located in one of our U.S. offices.
This role will be based in one of our U.S. offices, on a hybrid basis. Regular in-office presence is required for day-to-day operations, as well as for team meetings, training opportunities, and relationship building. This role reports to the Director, Applied AI.
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full-Stack .NET Developer to design, develop, and maintain secure, enterprise-grade applications that support the firm's AI initiatives, including Chat @ GT and related AI-powered solutions. This role requires extensive hands-on experience with C#, .NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server, and modern DevOps practices, along with expertise in Domain-Driven Design (DDD), cloud technologies, containerized environments, and cross-platform infrastructure. The ideal candidate will build scalable software solutions, contribute to architectural strategy, mentor developers, and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver innovative, high-quality applications that enhance productivity and drive business value.
Key Responsibilities
  • Designs, develops, tests, and deploys robust web applications using .NET 10, C#, and ASP.NET.
  • Architects and implements solutions following Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles, including bounded contexts, aggregates, and ubiquitous language.
  • Develops and optimizes database solutions using SQL Server, leveraging both Entity Framework and Dapper as appropriate for performance and maintainability.
  • Builds and maintains CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, ensuring reliable and automated deployments.
  • Writes and maintains PowerShell scripts for automation, deployment, and system administration tasks.
  • Deploys, configures, and troubleshoots applications across Linux, Windows Server, and Docker environments.
  • Optionally contributes to front-end development using React and/or scripting/tooling with Python as needed.
  • Participates in code reviews, technical design sessions, and architectural planning.
  • Mentors junior and mid-level developers, promoting best practices in code quality, testing, and design patterns.
  • Collaborates with product owners, business analysts, and QA engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and resolves production issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintains thorough documentation of code, architecture, and processes.

Qualifications
Skills & Competencies
  • Deep expertise in C#, .NET 10, ASP.NET Web API, and modern full-stack application development.
  • Strong proficiency with SQL Server, including query optimization, stored procedures, indexing strategies, and enterprise database design principles.
  • Hands-on experience with Entity Framework and Dapper, with the ability to select the appropriate data access approach based on performance, maintainability, and business needs.
  • Familiarity with Azure or comparable cloud platforms preferred.
  • Ability to successfully adapt to changing priorities and work demands.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines and effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced law firm environment with diverse needs.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated ownership, accountability, judgment, and follow-through in supporting projects from design through production maintenance.
  • Understanding of security best practices in web application development, DevOps, data protection, and secure enterprise systems preferred.
  • Experience working in a legal, professional services, or enterprise environment preferred.

Education & Prior Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of professional software development experience.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, building, deploying, and maintaining enterprise-grade applications built on the .NET stack.
  • Proven experience applying Domain-Driven Design principles, clean architecture, and modern software engineering practices in real-world projects preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, infrastructure automation, and release management.
  • Experience supporting technical projects from development through deployment, production support, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments and collaborating across product, business, QA, and technical teams preferred.
  • Relevant Microsoft, Azure, or software development certifications are a plus.

Technology
  • Proficiency with C#, .NET 10, ASP.NET Web API, SQL Server, Entity Framework, and Dapper.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or comparable CI/CD pipeline tools for source control, automated builds, release management, and deployment workflows.
  • Experience deploying and supporting applications in Linux, Windows Server, and Docker-based environments.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting experience for automation, deployment, and system administration.
  • Familiarity with frontend development frameworks and modern interface technologies, including React, Blazor Server, server-side rendering patterns, mobile platforms, and/or progressive web applications preferred.
  • Exposure to Python for scripting, automation, data processing, or AI-related application support preferred.
  • Familiarity with WebSockets, SignalR, real-time streaming, REST APIs, service integrations, and modern software development practices preferred.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and message brokers such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Azure Service Bus preferred.
  • Familiarity with Azure or comparable cloud platforms preferred.
  • Experience with Git-based version control, branching strategies, code review workflows, and maintainable release practices preferred.
