One challenge is ensuring seamless communication and project handoff between overnight and daytime teams to avoid duplicated efforts or missed details. To address this, developers typically use detailed documentation, task management tools, and regular status updates on platforms like Slack or Jira. Job description

RAW Nutrition and BUM Energy are led by entrepreneur Dr. Domenic Iacovone, six-time Mr. Olympia Champion Chris Bumstead, and renowned bodybuilding coach Matt Jansen. RAW Nutrition has been recognized as the #1 fastest-growing sports nutrition company by Inc. 5000 and recently named Brand of the Year by both GNC and The Vitamin Shoppe.

Since its inception in 2019, every RAW Nutrition product has been made with premium, clean ingredients, free from unnecessary fillers and additives. RAW proudly carries the Informed-Sport certification, a mark of excellence that ensures our products are rigorously tested for prohibited substances and meet the highest standards of quality and safety. We are a team of athletes, creators, and innovators driven by authenticity and the relentless pursuit of being better. Whether you’re behind the barbell, behind the camera, or behind the keyboard, you’ll be joining a culture that values grit, growth, and excellence.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Shopify Web Developer to join our internal agency and own the technical health and ongoing evolution of our Shopify stores. This is a hands-on role covering both frontend and backend work, from theme customizations and new product setup to troubleshooting bugs and working directly with Shopify support when platform-level issues arise. We need someone who takes full ownership of the store's technical operations, responds quickly when things break, and is resourceful enough to dig up answers and solutions independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and modify custom features, sections, and apps to meet evolving business needs
  • Add, configure, and maintain new products, collections, variants, and metafields
  • Diagnose and resolve bugs across the storefront, checkout, and backend configuration
  • Monitor site performance, uptime, and functionality, proactively identifying issues before they impact customers
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with Shopify support, escalating and tracking tickets through resolution
  • Evaluate, install, configure, and troubleshoot third-party Shopify apps and integrations
  • Manage integrations with other systems (ERP, inventory, shipping, marketing tools, etc.) as needed
  • Ensure the store follows best practices for speed, SEO, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness
  • Document processes, custom code, and configurations for internal reference
  • Stay current on Shopify platform updates, new features, and API changes
Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience building and maintaining Shopify stores (Shopify Plus experience a plus)
  • Familiarity with Shopify's theme architecture, Admin API, and Storefront API
  • Experience working with Shopify apps, metafields, and third-party integrations
  • Comfortable troubleshooting independently and knowing when/how to elevate to Shopify support
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external vendors
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A self-starter mentality — someone who takes ownership, follows through, and doesn't need to be micromanaged
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with version control (Git) and deployment workflows
  • Familiarity with backend languages/frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Ruby, PHP) for custom app development
  • Experience with Shopify Plus features (Scripts, Flow, Functions)
  • Background in UX/UI or e-commerce conversion optimization
  • Experience with performance auditing tools (Lighthouse, GTmetrix, etc.)
What Success Looks Like
  • Store issues are identified and resolved quickly, with minimal downtime or customer impact
  • New products and features are launched accurately and on schedule
  • Shopify support interactions are handled efficiently, with clear documentation and follow-through
  • Stakeholders trust this role to flag problems before they elevate and to propose solutions, not just report issues
Benefits & Compensation
  • Compensation: The base salary range for this position begins is $75,000-$100,000 per year; final salary offer based on experience and skillset.
  • Insurance & Wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits, plus savings plans.
  • Retirement Savings: Plan for your future with a 401(k) savings plan featuring a company match.
  • Flexible Time Off: Take the time you need with a flex PTO plan, sick time, and paid holidays.
  • Extra Perks: Monthly stipend to spend on our products and gear, access to the RAW Athletic Clubs in Port St. Lucie and Stuart, FL, and discounts on our family of brands.
