Job description

DPP is seeking a Front-End Developer III for an opportunity with our client in the healthcare insurance industry.
Work location: Hybrid in Columbia, SC; Tues, Wed, Thurs onsite and as needed, will consider remote but hybrid is preferred
Hours: 9:00AM-5:00PM
Duration: 11 months
Terms: W2 contract
Work authorization: ; candidates must be eligible to earn a low-level (Public Trust) US security clearance.
 
Position summary:
  • The Front-End Developer III will be a part of a team of 20 developers and analysts that collaborate on multiple projects and are working to upgrade our client''s applications to more recent technologies.
  • This team is upgrading and deploying a large government application for customer service for Military and Veteran Members.
  • This environment requires changes to both front-end and back-end web technologies.
  • The Front-end Developer III will support changes to the front-end web development and deployment environment.
Required technologies:
  • Java development – JDK v21
  • JSON
  • XML
Nice to have:
  • MongoDB
  • Quarkus (Container Development)
Minimum required work experience:
  • 4 years of application development, systems testing or other job-related experience. 
Required education/equivalencies:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree;
  • OR, Associates degree in CS, IT, or other job-related degree plus 2 years of work-related experience;
  • OR, 4 years job-related work experience (total 8 years without a degree) 
Soft skills:
  • Strong collaboration with written and verbal communication is important to work as a large team to build a successful product.
  • The ability to learn and adapt to our unique environment and processes is important.
