Front-End AWS Engineer
Location: Remote
Role Overview
We are seeking a Front-End Engineer who is passionate about building world-class web applications and user experiences. This role requires expertise in React, TypeScript, modern front-end architecture, performance optimization, design systems, and cloud-native application development on AWS. The ideal candidate is a front-end expert who can drive UI strategy, establish engineering standards, mentor teams, and architect scalable, secure, and maintainable enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
  • Architect and develop enterprise-scale web applications using React and TypeScript.
  • Design reusable component libraries and design systems.
  • Build responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces.
  • Define front-end architecture standards and best practices.
  • Drive application modernization and UI platform strategy.
  • Implement scalable state management using React Query and Context API.
  • Optimize Core Web Vitals and application performance by implementing code splitting, lazy loading, and caching strategies.
  • Integrate React applications with AWS cloud services and consume REST APIs.
  • Develop AI-enabled user experiences using AWS Bedrock and Generative AI services.
  • Mentor engineers and promote front-end engineering excellence.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
  • 7+ years with React.
  • 5+ years with TypeScript.

Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Proficiency with advanced front-end tools including React Hooks, Tanstack React Query, Zustand, and Storybook.
  • Experience with UI frameworks such as Material UI (MUI), SCSS/Sass, and Emotion.
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks like Vitest/Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, and Playwright.
  • Experience in performance optimization, including bundle optimization, Vite tuning, and browser performance profiling.
  • Familiarity with AWS services such as CloudFront, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, ECS, CloudWatch, and Bedrock.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices including GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, SonarQube, Veracode, and Terraform.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building enterprise platforms with over 10,000 users.
  • Experience leading front-end architecture across multiple products.
  • Experience building reusable component libraries from scratch.
  • Experience with Generative AI and AWS Bedrock.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching other engineers.
  • A strong understanding of security, accessibility, performance, and scalability.
