Job Description

There is an immediate opening for an analytical automation specialist in the Technical Research and Development group of the Cell and Gene Therapy Unit at Novartis.  

The ideal candidate will have laboratory experience in and knowledge of human cellular immunology. 

Previous experience with the Tecan Evo liquid handling platform- both with regard to day-to-day operation and troubleshooting is preferred.  

Familiarity with a range of general biological/analytical assays for the purposes of application development and validation (e.g. flow cytometry, ELISA, qPCR etc.) is desirable. Key responsibilities will include:

Operating and maintaining Tecan Evo liquid handling instruments

Interacting with subject matter experts to understand protocol development needs

Implementing, validating, and documenting automated flow cytometry analytical assays

Supporting other users of laboratory liquid handling instruments. 

Excellent documentation, communication, and organizational skills as well as the ability to balance multiple concurrently running projects are essential to success in this position.


Qualifications

Skills: 

Able to work productively in highly-collaborative team-oriented environment with excellent attention to detail in all aspects described above.
