Job description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Financial Analyst to support the Finance team with financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and business insights. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze financial data, identify trends, and help support informed business decisions. The ideal candidate has strong analytical and Excel skills, a solid understanding of financial concepts, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of financial reports, analyses, and presentations.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages and supporting schedules.
  • Assist with month-end reporting and variance analysis.
  • Maintain and update financial models, forecasts, and reporting tools.
  • Track key financial and business performance metrics.
  • Partner with accounting and cross-functional teams to gather and validate financial data.
  • Research and explain variances between actual results, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects.
  • Support the preparation of management presentations and business reviews.
  • Ensure financial data is accurate, complete, and properly documented.


Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 0โ€“2 years of relevant financial analysis, finance, accounting, or internship experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and basic financial modeling.
